Being the cynic that I am, I must say they have an amazingly talented maintenance crew!! they sound just like the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, just exactly like them!!! hmmmm....and then they all returned their attention to their pork infested hot dogs and bacon-cheeseburgers, lol. Gotta love Christmas though, the one time a year the majority of people really try hard to let Jesus shine through them, so I guess it has its purpose.....

When younger I was involved in a community Messiah Sing every year. People from all over our city would gather and unrehearsed sing the whole score. And yes we sounded like that too.

They have one in our area, too. I rashly thought I could sing 1st soprano as I did way back in high school.

I've tried to screech out the soprano part as I sing along with a CD recording of the Messiah. I have the whole thing memorized from all the years singing it.
It's not pretty!!! I now sing the low alto/tenor part.

As I remember, my attempt at 1st soprano left me a little lightheaded. LOL

BTW, I'm sure everybody here already knows, but Handel was a believing Jewish person and wrote The Messiah, under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, in something like a 24-hour period.
