Rejection

I got my first Rejection letter.* Now, I'm gonna send out more querys, and hopefully one of them will end up being returned as a YES.

*Not rejoicing that I was turned down, rather it is a "rite of passage" if you will, for writers.

Thanks. I've got two more envelopes sitting on my desk right now (four if you count the SASEs) ready to go except for stamps. Which, I might add, are horribly expensive, especially when you buy lots of them.

Does anyone know any way to get them at a discount?

I don't know about discounts, but I just wanted to say congrats. It's also wonderful that you are approaching this with a positive attitude, which will reflect in your life and your writing! We all get turned down at some point, use it to your advantage, as you are, and don't let it tear you down.

Some of the most famous books were turned down initially! Just think - the people who turned you down will be kicking themselves in a few years time!!
