They just arrived- they have a month off! Spending 10 days here then back off to Leeds to her family.
But he has lots of work to do on his Italian....so he should be busy...

About a month over here too... I didn't think it would be the same.

So he has a month holiday but only home for a week?

Yes, spending most of his time in Leeds now with girlfriend and family ....
Life moves on!

I couldn't think of anything I could make that didn't contain marmite or cottage cheese....
Son1 has kittens when he sees me microwave my banana and then stir in a good portion of cottage cheese with it (though I skip the marmite.)
Hope you and the Zoo are well, I think of you often too, I still have that lovely statue you sent and when I see it, your warmth and friendship echo around me....

Aw! You are ever my friend, and very dear to me. The Zoo is, as always, rowdy, loud, and happy. Especially now that we are looking forward to my husband coming home on leave. He's been in Afghanistan since January, and this is the first we'll have seen him since April. So, we're pretty excited.

Evening all, had a terrible day in work, and am off to make a huge pile of toast and marmite to cheer me up- but even better, son2 will soon be home from Leeds with his girlfriend for a week and I haven't seen him for 3 months! So the day will be quickly forgotten...

I'm sorry you had a bad day! But it's great that you'll have your son home for a visit.

J was NOT good last night. He has pretty much had us awake since 1:30 on 3 hours of sleep.

I'm a basketcase.

Aw! You are ever my friend, and very dear to me. The Zoo is, as always, rowdy, loud, and happy. Especially now that we are looking forward to my husband coming home on leave. He's been in Afghanistan since January, and this is the first we'll have seen him since April. So, we're pretty excited.

Should be such a good Christmas for you all...I guess the zoo will be extremely rowdy once they see their father!

Steph...*Hugs* for you...those days are a distant memory but i still remember that sinking feeling of no sleep....hope you get some rest today

Everything is still here, just a little dusty in parts! I'll light the fire as I hear it's going to get cold again soon...

I am good, working very hard and enjoying seeing son2 who is in Leeds in university home for 10 days....
Son1 is 22 and just so funny and delightful but still needs us most of the time!
