CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

i ate too much too.
it was staff appreciation day at work and we all ate too much junk food.
plus my parents invited me over for a cook out, so i really ate too much.

I hear ya.i ate too much too.

Well, I've known headaches in the morning in connection with visiting Pubs...
I'm doing fine; the weather's been brilliantly sunny all day. Kids are out throwing an American Football (yes, I know; it's tough for me...). The "Lego StarWars" is def. addictive for the kids...but I just let 'em play through and they get kind of "finished" with it. I don't mind the "wii" so much; they do seem to get a certain amount of exercise...they build up a sweat!

Some of the thread discussions were getting rather "heated", and there are some who when other's point of view is different from theirs tend to go for the jugular rather than act like adults and discuss it in a "rational" manner. "Rational" as "rational" gets around here I suppose.
Other than that, I'm fairly good. At work right now. Liked it when we had a holiday on Monday and none of the supervisors were around.

Well, I think people reflect on the contrary messages they get even if they don't express that in the threads.
You don't expect 'em to break down and say "Oh, yeah, you're right", but it could be important anyway that they get exposed to another viewpoint...

BTW, I just lost it in another thread and royally told someone off. I think I'm going to get reported, but at this point in time, I don't give a flying fig. This person has offended and peeved me too many times for me to remain silent. UGH!!!!! Lord, God help me. I really totally lost it.
