Another cold one , but the tweaking of my boiler controls yesterday [ aka resetting some of the programme in the digital programmer which I don't understand ] has made a big difference

Off out for Liturgy in an hour

I'm tired of this cold weather - it's not horrendously severe - but it's just enough to be a real nuisance

Yes, I'm doing quite well! Had a great Christmas. Didn't get to go to Christmas Mass due to weather but I had fun none the less.

Had a bad storm back on Thursday. Power flickered a few times, but never went out. It was called a "storm bomb".

Glad you didn't lose power - that's not funny.

My New York priest friend celebrated yesterday - temps actually hit zero instead of being , as they had been, well below for the last two weeks.

Right - that's me up now - time to put the bin out for collection and then make brekkie

Good morning everyone.

It's a cold one again here. But no wet stuff which is always a bonus.

Nearly at the office now...

Plumber here and working peacefully - we have had a good discussion about the boiler problem and looked at the piping runs outside - and that's where both of us think the problem lies - the pipe runs are very nearly horizontal and run into more pipes which don't slope steeply enough.

Oh this is turning into an expensive job - but it has to be done

I need a new washbasin - there was a hole in it that you could not see - but should not have been there !!

Plumber has gone - water back on , washing machine working now

New basin will be installed as soon as they have one
