  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I have a number of different regrets - but I don't really think that's a negative thing. As has been said - it's an emotional reminder when faced with a potentially similar situation of "how not to act".

Like, when I was younger I did a few dirtbag things. I feel regret, and shame, for having done them. No, I don't obsess over it, but I like the fact that there's a visceral emotion attached to those actions which compel me to behave better and be a better person.

There are no choices. Nothing but a straight line. The illusion comes afterwards, when you ask "Why me?" and "What if?". When you look back and see the branches, like a pruned bonsai tree, or forked lightning. If you had done something differently, it wouldn't be you, it would be someone else looking back, asking a different set of questions.
Wait....what do you mean by "no choices"?

Have you never made choices without all of the facts at hand? Or have you done something you would change if you could? Why does making a different choice in a particular situation make you an entirely different person?
