  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

here is a page with basic dvd region codes, you need to scroll down

http://hometheaterinfo.com/dvd3.htm

most dvd players made today are multi region or have a setting on them to accomodate dvds made for other regions so you can watch them without any bother, although its always best to check the region code of the dvd before buying it should you have an older dvd player

Just google your model and look for all zone codes.
I bought a new LG recently and simple googled the model to find the all zone code. (as I have done with previous players)
For instance all I had to do was press pause without a DVD in it and then punch in the six number code (which I got after googling for all zone codes)and that brought up the hidden menu which had my current zone entered (zone 4), then all I had to do was change the zone number to zero (you have a choice of 0 to 6) and zero is all zones and hey presto an all zone machine. If your player was not all zone when you bought it, then it is very easy to make it one.
