  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

At the house I reside, we have multi-generational kitty cats. Our house also attracts neighboring, and hence, illegitimate cats. This isn't really an issue with me since I don't own the house and I'm not the one who buys the food, though once in awhile I feed them. Anyway, these cats decided they liked our domicile because one day, my good-hearted cousin took to feeding one, and then one by one, other cats came, were fed, procreated, and found themselves a home. Is there any humane way of encouraging the kitties to seek food elsewhere or are we pretty much stuck with them? This whole thing has been going on for the past five years or so.

Try to find a rescue group in your area. Most cities will have a feral cat program that will relocate the cats to a home where they are welcome. If they're friendly, they'll find an indoor home and if they're feral, they'll probably end up living on a farm as mousers.
