• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I will make some prophecies. If they aren't correct, they were actually written by my brother. By the way, I'm always correct.
The prophets were not God's brothers; they were His amanuenses.

Is this not just a case of apples and oranges? Or are you making a bold statement hoping we may ask you about it and then in your glory you will show us all hell and fiery scriptures and show us how evil we are? Lol

The OP is putting himself in the place of God and making a frivolous statement in mockery.
Shall we condemn him? Shall we teach him the error of his ways? Show him how worthless his beliefs are? Shall you start the sermon? I'm preached out today buddy, I'd like a break from sitting upon my high horse and I'm intrigued to see these prophecies.

It appears that he is mocking your interpretation of the Bible. That he can do so by merely making a frivolous statement only illustrates how weak your position is.

Shall we condemn him?
He's already condemned himself.

If he does it in the name of God, he's a false prophet.

If he does it in the name of himself, he's a liar -- even if the prophecy comes true.

But in his defense, he does have a way out:

He is not claiming he is a prophet.

IOW, this challenge is poorly written and about as refuting as Coke refutes Pepsi.

Then he shall join the haunted souls my friend. It's his choice! Let those who talk of doom meet the haunted souls,to be trapped with the sound of the clarion instruments strapped to their backs. Make no mistake it's not the kind of place any of us would like to go is it? Let us seek out the hopeful and let us give hope to lost souls searching for hope. Those who wanted the message of hope have had 2000 years to hear it but many choose not to. Let us give hope to the hopeful? Or shall we give hope to all those in despair all those who don't realise they are doommongering themselves and giving their souls despair.

I'm here to show that some things make no sense. So anything that "God" says could actually be the devil, because the devil does that sometimes, right? It's how we explain inconsistencies or errors or false prophecies. But... the Bible is inerrant, right...?

Hint: these two statements cannot be reconciled
