Year round, I study God's word, discuss my beliefs, and share the good news of salvation.

But, at this time of the year, the week of Easter, I always get centered on Jesus' last days, up to His resurection. It's as if I'm right there, when He makes His triumphant entry into the city, with the throngs of people praising Him. "Hosanna! 'Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!' The King of Israel!" I often wonder what really was going on in His mind during this celebration, less than a week before He was to be crucified.

I am at the Last Supper with Him. Wishing it did not have to happen. I agonize with Him as He goes off by Himself at Gethsemane, and falls on his face, asking the Father, "Please, let this cup pass from me....".

I am there when Judas turns Him over to the authorities. I watch in horror, as He is mocked, tortured and crucified.

Then, He enters a place I dare not go, conquering hell and death.

And finaly, He is Risen!!

And everything He has done, is for me.

I am dimmished. I am humbled. I am thankfull. I am greatfull.

Have a blessed Easter.

We know from the Bible that His attitude was one of meekness, that goes along with gentleness, kindness, humility and so forth.

Interesting that you focused and commented on a smidgen of my entire post. I sure hope the overall message was not lost. After all, I was merely sharing my own experience and thoughts. ;)

Happy Easter. :)

nice post Bear. I think Jesus thought many things but after His praying in gethsemane His mind focused and cleared and He thought only of why He had come. I think about what it would have bben like to see my son killed like that or what it was like to be one of the women finding the tomb empty. And I LOVE Peter. He is so much like me it is scary.
