I have not engaged Pinkguard's teacher in debate... yet. But Pinkguard has asked us both a question for which she has received two different answers.
So as not to bias the results of the poll, I won't say who said what. Because I know you would all side with me anyway.
Anyway, here's the situation.
There's snow outside. Lots of snow.
Pinkguard asks, "Does this mean that it's winter now?"
Answer #1: Yes, it's winter. Given all of the snow and the frigid wintery temperatures, one can safely say that winter has arrived.
Answer #2: No, it's not winter yet. The official first day of winter is December 21st. It's still autumn, and snow can practically fall whenever it wants to in Canada.
Which answer would you give? One was given by me, and the other was given by Pinkguard's teacher.
