CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

It is true that if there is anything good in us (saint or sinner) it is wholly attributable to the mercy of a compassionate Saviour.
However, since good works are the fruit of faith, how can an atheist do good works?
Faith works the works of God by love, by the love of God which is shed abroad in our heart by the Holy Spirit. (Rom.5:5; Gal.5;6)
This love is imparted to those who believe, not to those who deny the faith.

The Bible tells us that God has given "to every man" THE MEASURE OF FAITH. (Rom 12:3). Everyone gets the same kind/amount, as we see by use of the word "THE."
Anyone living up to the light they have will be saved.

An atheist does not use the measure of faith which was given him.
Only as it is exercised does this faith grow.
