• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

The onus of responsibility falls to the one making the non-null claim.
(I.e. positive or negative)"

You claim a positive expansion - not null as per laboratory results. I claim null - as per laboratory results.
And it doesn't really matter what you claim ...
Laboratory experiments or not .. observations are consistent with the expansion of space ... like it or not. And unlike Michael and yourself, I have backed up my claims in the mis-named 'Astronomers should be sued for false advertizing. (4)' thread.

Frankly it should be you and Michael who should be charged .. for gross distortion, misrepresentation and general web-trolling!

You are even presently demonstrating at Cosmoquest that all you have to back up anything you claim is either rudeness, 'belligerence, confrontational or insulting behaviours'.

So, as a follow-up, now Justatruthseeker has now managed to get his CQ thread closed, presumably due to his lack of answering the questions put to him. Citing other peoples' reference material, as a way of explaining his own claims, has perhaps, been 'seen through' by the CQ mods.

So, about his final rant:
Justatruthseeker said:
.. Except in none of your scattering have you ever considered Bremsstrahlung and the consequences thereof. All electrons in a high energy state emit photons in the "forward" direction, unlike low energy electrons which emit them isotropically.
and his earlier diatribe:
Justatruthseeker said:
I told you my theory. You all want to talk about the CMBR all the time, then let's talk about that solar wind coming to a complete stop at the heliosphere - in a 360 degree sphere around us. You can't put the genie back in the bottle. Until mainstream justifies ignoring the energy released from charged particles decelerating, or the brightest source in the sky - they really got no excuse for claiming CMBR anything.
Some months ago, a CF poster, 'David Bilby,' pointed out that if the CMB is local, (as Justatruthseeker implies), then there would be no observable dipole effect of the CMB due to Doppler shift.

As explain in the above link, the simplest reason why we observe this effect is that the Earth (and galaxy) is moving relative to the CMB ... therefore the CMB cannot be local.

Secondly, another CF poster, 'sjastro,' made the point that if the CMB is due to Bremsstrahlung radiation, then why is the resultant background in the microwave part of the spectrum and not in other frequencies such as X-ray, given that Bremsstrahlung radiation is characteristically continuous in its spectral signature?

The simplest refutation to Justatruthseeker's nonsense however, is that we don't observe microwave Bremsstrahlung radiation in the outer reaches of the solar system because the environment there is equivalent to the very best laboratory vacuums ... and there is no dense medium there to initiate the Bremsstrahlung emission process.

Seeing as the above points were made many months ago, one can either assume Justatruthseeker's ear-bashing at CQ is either the result of his not having understood, (or considered), the above points put to him many months ago, or he is simply intent on engaging continuously in deliberate dishonesty(?)

I really like this bit of ignorance from Justatruthseeker in reply to a request to be more specific about "no laboratory has measured anything" :p
Very well, since you insist. Dark Matter, Dark Energy, Expansion, neutron stars, black holes, big bangs. Shall I continue being more specific???
He forgets all of the other stuff that has never been measured in a lab:
  • The Sun
  • The planets (excluding Earth!)
  • moons (excluding the material returned from the Moon)
  • Comets
  • stars
  • galaxies
  • interstellar medium
  • intergalactic medium
  • exoplanets
  • etc.
Basically everything not on the Earth!

So according to Justatruthseeker's logic the Earth is the only thing that exists :p.
