I feel comfortable saying that I'm a good Christian. I just disagree with the stuff in the wikipedia link.I am not sure where the red text is sourced from. Can you help me?
Also, there are very important differences between Preterism and Partial Preterism. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Preterist I am a partial preterist.
I would suggest reading an entire book on partial preterism before responding against it. The book I posted earlier is probably the easiest to read book on the subject. And you can't beat the price.
BTW, I am pretty mellow when I share about this issue. I know there are plenty of good Christians regardless of their eschatology.

About a year later I became a missionary in YWAM. I had been called to missions soon after becoming a Christian.
After about two years at YWAM, God began to hone my missions calling. As part of this, I somehow obtained Chilton's Paradise Restored. God transformed me in a major way. I would never have been able to enter into the fullness of God's particular missions calling to me without this transformation first happening.
And again, try not to disagree with partial preterism until after you have read a whole book on it.

Please don't be offended but, I see people use all these different terms for others' beliefs and I've never heard of any of them. So basically they don't mean much to me. I seem to be finding out I believe a little of each thing. A little here and a little there and yet I keep being labeled based on each different belief. It's seems a bit rude to me since I've never looked at others as being preterists or dispensationalists or heretics and all the others.

Since 2003. My mother made us go to church every Sunday when we were children but, I never understood much of anything and I had a great deal of issues in my life that weren't allowing me to see Jesus. I had a disability so I had too much going on to make heads or tails of things back then. Later on when were teens she stopped making us go. And from that day on we didn't go back. Strangely enough I was later drawn back to church as an adult in the midst of sin and all. I was baptized a couple years later. I've been growing ever since.

Terms for this or that are just labels -- a handy way to reference something without having to explain it all the time. So, for instance, when I say I lean toward "calvinist soteriology" it explains a lot of my view of how God came into the world and saves people. But that only works if the person I'm talking to 1) know who Calvin was 2 ) knows what he taught, 3) has any clue what "soteriology" is, and 4) cares about such things.
Theological terms can get flung around very easily, especially on message boards. Usually, it's a way of trying to clarify things, rather than an attempt to "pigeonhole" people. In truth, if theological terms were on sticky-paper, most Christians would be covered with little yellow flags. Many of the terms work well together, and even some that seem mutually exclusive can work in an individual's understanding.

Well, I have no clue who any of those people are, no clue about all these theologies. I just go by what's in my bible. Occasional commentaries. Other than that, I don't know what you're talking about. Sorry. I usually get a bunch of links slapped up on the screen with the comments "here go read this" or "here's something you can check out", not interested. I want to talk one on one with people and hear what they have to say in their own words. I enjoy that.
