Cool, you have a gift there. I tried poetry but it was so mechanical it didn't work. I tried music and it suffered the same. There is something in artists (painter, singers, musicians, poets) that can't be manufactured, it's just a part of them.

So you all know, we caught Red in a serious lie, one that caused the rift here last week. We separately PMed her to let her know we knew about the lie, she chose to accuse us of doing something behind her back, which isn't what happened. She has chosen to bring it to this thread and tell another lie to try to cover up the first, then to leave the forum rather than to admit she needed forgiveness, which was offered to her.

It's especially ironic considering her blog entry of two days ago.

We will always be eager to forgive you Red. Ask any time and it will be healed.

Maybe I am the only one lost here, but I don't understand. There is a pretty heavy accusation being expressed with very little detail. If the whole picture of this situation is not going to be brought to light, it should not be dealt with publicly.

I think I must accept blame for this situation & I ask everyone's forgiveness for how out of hand it has become. I expressed some upset over some posts privately. It appears to have been blown out of all proportion. I wasn't mad at anyone, only upset. I said I was thinking about no longer posting. It was not my intention to cause hurt or distress, to make accusations or fester anger. Nor is it my usual way to confront, but to try & work through things with a friend to regain equilibrium & behave in a manner befitting a Christian. I am very distressed about what is happening here. I am so sorry if my actions have contibuted to what is going on.

I do not know what you are saying to each other - I do not want to know! - but I doubt Red has intentionally lied. There seems to be a great deal of misunderstanding here. I am certainly guilty of misunderstanding people's intentions in their posts. Just as I am guilty of not expressing myself clearly. I do not know if I am still welcome here. I should be sorry to leave but for the sake of peace & restored relationships I will do so. I have valued your friendships.

And Dan, although you might like great detail, it's probably not appropriate to do that here right now.

Let's just say that gossip is an ugly sin that hurts everyone it touches, and is especially effective in turning God's people against each other. Even a little bit of exaggeration in the name of "helping" or a "prayer request" can cause a lot of damage. Gossip is a lie, a mean hurtful lie told to gather attention to the gossiper.

I think my point was missed. The only reason to make an accusation like this publicly is to bring it before the church. Other than that, it should be kept between the involved parties. To do otherwise is "Gossip".

Red brought it into this forum, not me. I was more than happy to deal with it by PM. I was repsonding to what she posted, making untrue and unfair accusations about some "mean" PMs she felt were meant to drive her away. Since she introduced it here, I was bringing the truth out into the open. If you have complaints about it being brought into this forum, tell her.

I think your interest in knowing the exact nature of the issue was gossip in itself. You could have PMed me to discuss it, but you didn't.
