Hi Red Fox. I hope you don't mind my intruding unannounced. Generally speaking, I think that should be water off a duck's back. The eagle and the pigeons thing. If you appreciate your faith enormously I think you're more inclined to feel a bit sorry for people who want to impose their faith on you.
Although that doesn't mean it can't get so that (at least in my case) you want to suggest to them that they don't seem to have enough peace in their heart to be respectful to others. They seem to be 'kicking against the goad' - as if God were trying to prompt them in a certain direction they don't want to go, and they want to drown out his urgings by aggressively asserting their own 'know-all' theology.
Welcome, Paul Becke, to my Talking Circle. And thank you for sharing your insight. I appreciate it very much. I have spent the majority of my personal Christian walk defending myself against false accusations and false assertions about myself and about my own people. I am so sick and tired of having to do that.
