  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hey guys :)
I'm so happy to have found a place to talk to like-minded people and would like to start by confessing something.
I was diagnosed with Anorexia Nervosa last year and am currently nearly out of recovery...I feel great!
At first I was ashamed to think I could be so stupid to have let myself get so ill, but now I realise this is a positive thing as I turned out ok and now I can help others with the same troubles.
If anyone is reading this with anorexia...get help.
It may seem so terrible to think of someone controlling what you eat and telling you what to do, but when you are recovering you realise that you were in a very dark place.
When I had the disease I felt that I had turned my back on God and my family, but now I feel that God never left me. All the bad things which happen to us happen for a reason.
So...keep strong guys and that applies to any ilness...we can beat them!
xxx

Hey!

Good, for you!
I must say that when I was 12-14 I suffered from anorexia as well. I know how hard it is to go through; and I'm so happy you seeked help!
For the first year or so after recovery, I would still see myself as fat, and hate myself everytime I would binge eat.
But now I know the binging was because my body was only begging me to give it the nutrition I was depriving it of.
I'll be praying for you to stay strong and continue to recover. You can message me anytime. =)
