Recovery IS possible!!!

Hi everyone,
I just wanted to share a word of encouragement with you are struggling emotionally with your eating disorder. I struggled for 11 years with bulimia. I NEVER thought that I would get better. I would curl up and spend hours crying on the floor praying to be released from the clutches of my eating disorder.

I finally realized that I couldn't do it on my own and checked myself in to an inpatient facility. Sometime people with eating disorders have to be hospitalized more than once. Sometimes for a few weeks, and sometimes for over a year.

HOWEVER, recovery is possible. Just never give up! Please remember how valuable you are to God, and that He has plans to bless you and not to harm you. He wants for you to have a future filled with love and health.

I need inpatient treatment for binge eating disorder, but cannot do that at this time. I go to Overeaters Anonymous and outpatient therapy. Right now, I am in relapse. My hiatal hernia, which I got purging years ago, is really aggravated this past month. I dread getting on the scale on Monday at my doctor's.

Last night I told my therapist I feel hopeless. Thanks for encouraging me today.

Marcie~ I'm SO VERY proud of you! What you have accomplished isn't easy, and I know that you have been working hard at it. Keep up the excellent work.

Thanks also for sharing your story....... others out there might see themselves in you and be able to catch themselves before going too far.
