Recommended Listening

I've been looking for some additional preachers to listen to on my drive to work that offer free, downloadable daily sermons. I've been listening to The Copelands, Charles Stanley, Perry Stone, Jack van Impe, Benny Hinn and Joyce Meyer but would like to see who others listen to. Kenneth Copeland and Charles Stanley are my favorites.

Oneplace.com has a good selection of the more popular preaching ministries with downloadable content.

Grace to You with Dr. John MacArthur and Insight For Living with Chuck Swindoll are quite reliable Biblically.

I also recommend oneplace.com. There you will find Adrian Rogers and Love Worth Finding. His teaching is very easy and his manner so warm. He is no longer with us but his call still goes out. You will also find James McDonald and Walk in the Word. Another teacher of truth and author of the book "God Wrote a Book", which gives the believer a clear understanding of just who is the author and what is the purpose of the Scriptures. Other fine teachers are John MacArthur, Charles Stanley, Max Lucado and for lighter enjoyment there is Focus on the Family's 'Adventures in Odyssey' series and radio theatre programs.

God bless you and I encourage you in what you are doing. I found that driving time was one of the best times to fill my mind with the truth of God.

What are you looking for in preaching? I have to be honest and say that your list makes me worried for you. I can recomend some good preachers for you but, based on your list, I don't think you'd like them.

Based on the folks you say you like, I don't think you'd like my list very much.

Other than Stanley they tend to reflect the Charismatic/Word of Faith sort of preachers that are not popular amongst Baptists.

Stanley is the only one on the list who is still (barely) within the bounds of orthodoxy. The others are all pretty serious heretics.

Let's face it, if somebody says that Kenneth Copeland is their favorite, they're just not going to listen to S. Lewis Johnson and A.W. Pink or Phil Johnson or the "Gracelife Pulpit" guys.

I also like to hear Perry Stone. He opens up many of the truths about Israel and works to explain some of the future coming prophecies of the Scriptures. If you are also interested in reading some things along those lines I would recommend Grant Jeffries, 'Final Warning' and his 'Signature of God, both very fine books that explain many of the Scriptural prophecies both past and future.

Al Martin, Ian Paisley (check out his Fundamentalism vs. Apostasy sermon), Paul Washer, L.R. Shelton, Paris Reidhead, and who could not like “The God of the Bible Kills People” by brother Rolfe Barnard? Don Fortner and Henry Mahan can turn it up, Alan Cairns can rail with the best of ‘em, the list goes on. These men have been given a gift for passionate preaching and I love it!
