Recommend me where to begin.

Hi I would say go into any Christian book shop and have a look around you will find all kinds there and you are bound to find one that suits your personallity,when you read your bible try reading Proverbs it's full of good advice and will help you in your christian walk

The books that helped me most when I first started out were anything by Max Lucado. He has many out and they're light and easy to understand. Good luck!!

My two favorite Christian non-fiction authors are

Stormie Omartian who has books such as

many of these come with study guides as well; many more books are available, just giving some examples

whoops; I did not notice that you were a male and these are more for women; sorry about that. I don't follow the male Christian authors as much, but I like to listen to John Hagee and he has some books out, too.

You could probably try buying a copy of Everyday With Jesus by Selwyn Hughes, its available in most Christian Bookshops, it gives you a passage to read everyday and then has a wee discussion about what you have read...it also has a prayer at the bottom of the page everyday.

It has helped me start to work my way through the Bible.

The Message by Eugene H. Peterson. Start with Matthew and read the whole new testament first. This is a very modern translation of the Bible and it reads like a novel. I read the whole new testament in a week when it first came out.

I just want you to know... it is God's promise to direct your foot steps. so where ever you go to seek, you will find.

a book that makes it all simple. and is a 2 to 3 page book a day, for 40 days, would be an awesome start. Rick Warren's 40 DAY PURPOSE.
