  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Been using Gillette pro glide - but i just think that 5 blades are too many, and the shave is too close because i have really curly hair so end up with ingrown hairs/razor bumps...

im trying to find something with less blades and maybe a guard too. i am not interested in electric shavers at all because i dont like them.

what can yall recommend? im thinking of the hydro 3 because its only 3 blades and i think it has a guard.

other wise i might just go with 2 blade disposables tbh....maybe even one blade....what do yall think?

also does drying your razor after you shave help the blades stay healthy longer?

What country are you in? I don't think we have those brands here. Drying them might stop them rusting, though I assume they would have some thing to stop them rusting, as the rust could cause tetnus etc! It might be good to try and way, to stop mould?

I bought an electric one :D though every time it grows too long its too much effort to use and hurts, so I at the moment, have a beard :D

I use the Fusion Mach 4 (or 5?) bladed thing. Its orange/blue I believe. I love it. Closer cuts, less accidental cuts, feels better after shaving. And as a guy it makes for less stubble since women seem to hate kissing sandpaper. lol

I personally looking into electric blades because its what my grandfather used. Turns out they both have pros and cons. Electric shavers can be waterproof and easier to use. But you still have to replace the heads and they also don't cut anywhere as close as a manual shaver. Which I dislike because I want a smooth face. Where as manuals can cut you, but cut closer and give you a better shaved face.

I will say also I have very sensitive skin. So shaving is painful for me. Having tried both kinds of razors the electric ones isn't as painful, but like stated its because it doesn't cut as close. And at least with the manual one I have a selection of shaving creams I can choose from like alovera, sensitive skin...etc.
