  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Books I enjoy are of the action genre and spitual. I also like comic books and am thinking of getting into manga (japanese comics). Here's some books I've read and reccomend:

Last Light: A Nick Stone Mission
Firewall
Spiderman Essentials (all the volumes)

I never use to be into reading, but it's a great way to pass time. So, do you enjoy reading, and if so what do you reccomend?

I love to read and I spend all of my spare time (which isn't much!) reading. My very favorite read would be the Bible, I like to read reference books regarding teens and younger children (I'm a youth minister) and beyond that I read anything I can get my hands on. Right now, I have my bible next to my bed, a book called "Going Deeper, Youth Retreats" on my coffee table, "Watchers" by Dean Koontz in my ummmmm library...(ok, it's really the bathroom!), and I have the full version of "Lord of the Rings" (I'm am rereading for the zillionth time!) on my kitchen table. I am currently reading all of those...yeah, I like to read! ;)

God Bless!

Reading, yeah.... If there was one thing that I do to much of, it's reading. I grew up without a TV (what? an American family that gets no TV channels?) and so I spent most of my time reading. I will normally read fantasy or science-fiction novels when I'm not studying the Bible. Actually I just got the NIV Chronological Bible where they take all the verses of the Bible and have ordered them chronoligically as best they can (for instance, the 4 Gospels are woven together and Pauls letters are woven in with the book of Acts). It makes for a very different and interesting way of rereading the Bible. As for how much I read, well I'm not really keeping track, but I figure that in my (almost) 19 years of life, I have read at least 500,000 pages. (I'm a reading machine, 100 paperback pages per hour).

i like reading, and there are a few i really have enjoyed:
1)The Bible, of course, should be your first option always.
2)Pocket Bilbe Handbook by Hale.
