Why not a national referendum on military spending? And federal campaign finance laws?

At the state level, let’s have the voters give a thumbs up or down on this new crop of hyper-restrictive anti-abortion laws. Wouldn’t that be a fun battle?

(Here in Missouri, the state constitution allows that if enough voters sign a petition demanding it. And as we speak, there’s a drive in progress to do just that.)
