Had a very strange, out of character dream last night and thought I'd share.
Basically, I dreamt of a maze-like set of ruins. There were different groups of people (I assumed them to be urban explorers) traversing the maze until they came across a pool of water with a pillar hanging from the ceiling above the pool. Each group would climb up, and then follow a short tunnel and find themselves at the top of the stairs in a large throne room. There was a red carpet and at the bottom of the stairs there was(depending on the group)either a pair of lions or bears guarding the throne room. I also heard mention of there being two statues of a golden bull with red eyes in the throne room, which I never actually saw but for some reason I already knew where they were--up on two large pillars parallel to each other in the center of the room. After reaching the top of the stairs, the people always became afraid and left the ruins.
Now, at some point the young daughter of one of the people who'd been to the ruins decided to go look for the throne room. She was little, probably no more than 10. We'll call her Girl A. Well, Girl A does make it to the throne room--for some reason though, she makes it to the bottom of the stairs and is threatened to be eaten by two lions. She cries and begs to be spared, and suddenly another little girl(Girl B)appears. Like the gold bulls, I never see Girl B directly but I already know that she's been stuck in the throne room for eternity, and I can barely make out her image in my mind's eye. She's no older than Girl A, but everything from her eyes, hair, skin and clothes is an almost white pale gold. My first impression is that this little girl was very pretty and seemed rather innocent, so she must be lonely. Well, 'they'(I don't know who, for some reason)decide to spare Girl A so that she can stay forever and be Girl B's friend. That's when I realize that Girl B is not so innocent, as I can feel her hatred towards Girl A and that she's deciding whether or not to have the lions kill her.
That's where the dream ends, veering off into other unrelated dreams. I should also mention that the only time I was ever present in this dream was in the very beginning; I was the first to find the throne room with 12-13 cats that were following me, but as I ran from two bears waiting at the bottom of the stairs one of the cats got eaten. Once I was safe I stopped and looked at a list of names which belonged to the cats to see who was missing, and the one that was eaten had a name(that I can't remember)which corresponded to something like sadness/fear/cowardice??
Anyways, it was a weird dream. I was listening to a totally unrelated jordan b peterson video and some of matt walsh's content while I was napping and had this dream. I should also mention that I've had a bit of a demonic problem in my apartment the last few months, and a local priest told me that there have been other people in town having similar issues.
It could be just a totally random fabrication of my brain, I don't know. Just thought I'd share and get some input in case there's any symbolism I missed.
P.S. Also, I think there was a room after the throne room--I don't think anybody actually made it there and I can't remember what it looked like as everything was unreasonably bright.
