Realizing what I don't have

I just realize how boring my life is and there is not much to be proud of. I have no job at the moment nor drivers license. I also realy want a girlfriend and I feel so down because of it. Its hard for me to do stuff for myself because I think I will be greedy, selfish if I do stuff for myself. I just wish I could care more about myself

caring about ourselves is sometimes the hardest thing to do...well I know it is for me...ask to me to care about someone else and I can do that but care about myself? Thats alot harder. Instead of looking at all the things you don't have why not look and all the things you do have? I don't know very much about you but I know that You have the love and protection of God in your life and that you have ppl on here who want to be there for you when you need someone to talk to. I know there are other things but you have to work those out for yourself I wish I could say more but I don't know much about you.

Caring about ourselves is the reason we suffer. When we focus attention on ourselves it leads to fear and selfishness. But obeying God's commandment to love him with all our mind, bosy and strength gives us the ability to trust him completely so we don't have to worry about worldly things. I admit it is a hard thing to do. Which is why it takes practice and a daily effort on your part. (Matthew 6:33) Seek first His kingdom and all these things shall be added unto you. remember, imperfect things or ungodly things will have problems. A girlfriend will not make you problems disappear but rather they will add a few. Nobody is perfect so it is wrong to enter a relationship or expect a relationship that will be perfect or to enter or expect one where we will not get hurt. Getting a job mean's you'll have money, more money to buy more things which means more items to worry about and more bills to worry about. I don't think I have to list all the headaches associated with car ownership. God is bigger than all these things and God knows you better and can satisfy you better than you can yourself. Seek Him first. Obey his two biggest commandments (Matthew 22:37-40) Trust me, you'll be glad you did and a HUGE weight will gradually come off.
