I guess a lot depends on what is meant by a "gay lifestyle", since this is a generalization that has no real meaning. If a person can be gay and a success in God's eyes, I know several that I believe God views as successes.

There is no god. You are obedient only to yourself and what you wish to do yourself. How arrogant of you to claim that you discriminate and hate others in the name of an all-knowing, all-powerful deity.

Besides the fact that living in accordance with "god's will" is completely irrelevant for an atheist such as myself, how does one know "god's will"? Did he/she/it tell it to you? I must have missed that meeting...

It seems that you are trying to derail this thread. Nothing was stated about hating anyone? But since you have? Why do some people hate themselves so much, as to accuse others of making their choices so difficult to bear?

I would define a Christian as someone who believes in Christ and has accepted Him as their Savior and into their heart. Success, as you have stated it in this thread, I read as living a life that emulates and honors Christ.

That depends what is meant by the 'gay lifestyle'. If you mean gay people openly and honestly living their lives, seeking a loving relationship with someone of the same sex and experiening the joy and beauty of Love along the way, just like any straight person, then it is absolutely in line with 'God'.

At least, any god that is worth worshipping. If She is up there and Love doesn't fit into Her will, then Her will is of no consequence to anyone of good conscience.
