Alright guys, so I was reading (as I know many of you do) an article off of www.cuttingedge.org. I noticed this; "During these internal assaults, Syria, Iraq, and Iran will launch a mix of missiles at Israel's cities and military targets". This article I was reading contains a supposed layout for the coming ww3. There does seem to be some reliable information in this article, so perhaps Iraq will attack Israel soon. If so, knowing that Bush is a christian (or so i hear), perhaps by attacking Iraq now, he is trying to supercede this impending attack on Israel. Does anyone think this is at all possible? Is this the true reason behind attacking Iraq now? rollinthunder i know you have somethin to say on this one haha :D

heres the link to the article I was reading: http://www.cuttingedge.org/news/n1056.html

The real reason behind "attacking" Iraq is that Saddam Hussein is an evil madman who cannot be tolerated in a civilized world.

and so now the US is going to go after every political power whom they deem unsuitable to rule? ........ if thats the route americas taking, then i have a fealing things are going to escalate much farther than to just a simple little attack on iraq....

In case you haven't noticed, there hasn't been an "attack" yet. It is possible that tough talk will cause certain elements within Iraq to get rid of Hussein without a single shot being fired by the U.S.

That's how the Evil Empire (Soviet Union) eventually fell.

The problem here is that, like every time a crisis develops in the Middle East, people want to find some biblical significance in it. The only biblical significance to the situation in the Middle East, whether you're talking about the Arabs or the Israelis, is the graphic illustration of what happens to people who reject God's Messiah and strive after righteousness under the law. The end result is lawlessness, violence and death.

Come to think of it, that's a pretty significant truth.

That article looks mighty shadey...thats the sort of end-times sort stuff gives christians a bad name..

maybe we should take every single event in the middle east to be a fullfillment of profacy.

First, I think that Israel can defend itself very well. They have A-Bombs and an well trained army. And, what's the most important thing, they are "God's Country". History has shown what happens with countrys/ people who are against Israel...

The problem is, that Saddam Hussein is a danger for the free world. The USA and other civilized countrys should not give him any more time to built A-, B- and C-Weapons or train some terrorists. He must be stoped - as soon as possible!

I agree with your posts. The site you have posted is one of many, which point to the true powers behind scenes that control what we see happening in the news. Peace, but not yet.

As I think Patmosman eluded to, there is a reason that peace is so elusive in the Middle east. The entire Middle east, including Israel, Muslim and Jew alike, is suffering from their unanimous rejection of Christ Jesus.

God's country is not some 200 sq mile patch of dirt between Lebanon and Jordan, but the "Better Country" the "Heavenly Country" that all who are "in Christ" inhabit. Everyone else is doomed to suffer the consiquences of their choice to reject it. Even the Jews.

The Notion that Israel is on God's Side and the Mulsim countries are not, completely undoes everything Christ accomplished on the Cross.

Christians are the only people on "God's Side".

    Everyone else is lost.

One thing I have noticed is that God is opening up every country for us to go in and preach the gospel.

Which is, when all is said and done, the only sure way to bring about a positive "regime change."

That is what the Bible says, the kingdoms of this world will become the Kingdoms of God. It is though us that God will accomplish that.

It only took Gideon 300 people to get the job done, and everyone of them could blow a trumpet. With radio and television, God could accomplish the same thing today with 300 people.

All it takes is one man who is willing to say: "If God is with us, where are the miracles?" And 300 people who are willing to break their earthen vessel, so that their light will shine forth.

Judges 7:20 And the three companies blew the trumpets, and brake the pitchers, and held the lamps in their left hands, and the trumpets in their right hands to blow withal: and they cried, The sword of the Lord, and of Gideon.

I don't think God intends us to carry out the Great Commission from the comfort of our own home. When Jesus spoke of the Gospel being proclaimed to all the nations, he also said something about suffering and persecution accompanying its proclamation. I suppose his original disciples would have loved to have radio and television, so they could just broadcast their message from a secluded site in Jerusalem throughout the whole Roman Empire without having to worry about being arrested, dragged before the magistrates, kicked out of the synsagogues, and thrown to the wild beasts.

But, alas, they had none of the modern conveniences and all of the ancient complications. Yet, in a little over 30 years, they had spread the Gospel from Jerusalem to every corner of the Roman Empire. And, remember, they didn't have airplanes back then, either. Today, we have mass transit and mass media. But we are afraid to take the Gospel across the street, much less to the ends of the earth.
