Real fear of Hell

EVER SINCE MY WIFE DIED MY ANXIETY LEVEL IS 10X HIGHER...AND IT WAS VERY HIGH BEFORE SHE DIED. She was the calm one....

I know we are saved by grace and that Christ died for our sins, but I still feel I will not be good enough to go to Heaven.........

I HAVE TO GO TO HEAVEN TO BE WITH MY WIFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

On top of all the lonelines and emptiness, I don't need the fear of going to hell too....

I'm backed into a corner and can't take much more...
please help

No one is good enough to get into heaven. That's why Jesus came. Believing on Him is the only way to make it there. My husband passed away 3 years and 3 months ago. Fear gripped me and would wake me up during the night. I just kept asking the Lord to take it away. It got better after a time. I will pray that God will take away your fear and give you the strength to go on.

This is the grief. It makes everything feel abnormal. Believe what you know in your heart to be true. Talking to a Christian grief counselor helped me. I was filled with doubt even about whether I had given my husband the proper burial. The Word tells us we can know that we are saved. Talk to your pastor. Above all be kind to yourself. I am sorry for your loss.

I understand the grief that you are going through with the loss of your wife. I lost the love of my life 2 years ago, but I do not blame God. He has given me grace. To be honest with you, we will never be good enough to get into heaven, that is why Christ died for us. The only way to God/heaven is through Christ not be our works. I mess alot down here and I catch the devil telling me how I am not a good person but I am reminded and thankful for what Christ has done for me. I will look forward to the day until I see my precious husband and others that I have missed.
