Ready to Beg

I have had so much pain today. Starting at dawn, when I woke up with a muscle spasm in the leg with my tendonitis, and it triggered a spasm in the tendon area of my foot. I woke up screaming in pain. I am praying for a miracle for this pain to subside and not be so problematic tomorrow. I am ready to head to the emergency room if it does not.

I am scheduled to see a new orthopedist on Thursday. Actually, he did knee surgery on me a long time ago, and I trust him much more than the guy I saw two weeks ago. I also have an appointment with a pain management specialist as well. But that is not for a few weeks.

I just can't function when I take a step and have shooting pain throughout my foot. Tylenol is not working. Tonight I almost went to the liquor store to buy a bottle just to get through the night.

Thanks for the prayers. Actually, these physical pains top anything I have experienced thus far.

My group therapist said that we are not martyrs, and that if necessary pain meds are sometimes indicated. I just do not want to be accused of seeking them.

My one time sponsor told me awhile back that after a foot surgery the doctor ( who was not her regular one) would not give her meds for the pain, because he knew she was a addict. Some go to the extreme.
