Yes, I'm more or less doing that now. Some books are easier to read (for me) with distractions in the background. I'm reading Tom Wolfe's novel Back to Blood, mostly while riding the exercise bike. Also reading Alister McGrath's Explaining Your Faith. And I'm fairly far along (although I need to get back to them) in reading two history books and a short selection of Thomas Aquinas' writings. The Aquinas book is one that I have to read quite slowly, and it's usually better if I read it in a relatively distraction-free setting.

I tend to do this every now and then.
Normally I do it with a novel and an anthology of short stories or essays.
I find that it gives a good break when I've reached a point in the novel where the action starts to drag or I just need a little time away from a book that I want to finish, but is getting rather ponderous.

I'm doing this regularly now. I'm reading a children's series I recently discovered (Hank Zipzer) and since I can read one of those in a day or two, I just slide them in between my more adult books. Of course the Hank Zipzer books are the only current fictional, everything else is Christian study and support type of things

Who else does this? Sometimes I don't want to wait until I'm finished with one book to start another so I begin to alternate.
Recently I've been reading 2 books at a time. One is usually a religious book and one is something else. Not to mention I've been reading from both the Old and New Testament. So I have like 4 going at once.
