Hm... dose anyone know of any good book series?
I'm just kinda looking for one since I've never really found one yet.

Just sometimes I only read the first book then think it's really good and move on to the 2nd book then lose interest half way.

I've never actually read an entire series. Dose this happen to anyone else while reading?

It happens reasonably often, especially in recent series. If a series is good publishers push for more books becaause they will sell and make money. It almost always seems they keep pushing until the author is burned out (at least on the series) and produces if not trash, at least works inferior the earlier ones.

What area are you looking for a series in? There are some fairly good ones in Science Fiction. There are also some horrid ones.

Have you read the Left Behind Series?? Those are some good books. I also like anything by Tracie Peterson or Karen Kingsbury.

Excellent recommendations!(Haven't yet tried Karen Kingsbury) My daughter and I loved(even though we do not believe in a Pre-Trib Rapture,we believe it will be mid-Trib- Pre-Wrath,at the sound of the last trump, before the last 7 judgements~ the vials are poured out) the 12-book Left Behind series(we reserved them 3-4 at a time from our libraries, but don't waste your time with the recently written prequels, they are nothing but money gimmiks and are awful!)

For Historical Romance~I also love Tracie Peterson's Westward Chronicles(fascinating info about the Fred Harvey Restaurants and the Harvey Girls),Heirs Of Montana, and Yukon Quest series.Kristen Hieztmann is another favorite, her stand alone books Edge Of Recall,Freefall, and Halos:A Novel, plus her historical Romance series ~Diamond Of The Rockies, and her ~Rocky Mountain Legacy series.

Also cannot leave out The Hobbit and Lord Of The Rings books by J.R.R. Tolkien. It's such fun reading 'Smeagle's' parts, too,LOL!

The Dreamhouse Kings series by Robert Liparulo
,is great! The Midnighter's series, and the Uglies series by Scott Westerfield, the Tomorrow series by John Marsden, ,The Door Within Trilogy by Wayne Thomas Batson, are all rated highly at Amazon.

Right now,I'm reading Debra Clopton's 'Mule Hollow Matchmakers' series, and loving them!I'm into the 5th book, and there are 9!(Christian Romance)

The reading order for the Left Behind series...
Left Behind: A Novel of the Earth's Last Days (1995)
Tribulation Force: The Continuing Drama of Those Left Behind (1996)
Nicolae: The Rise of Antichrist (1997)
Soul Harvest: The World Takes Sides (1999)
Apollyon: The Destroyer Is Unleashed (1999)
Assassins: Assignment: Jerusalem, Target: Antichrist (1999)
The Indwelling: The Beast Takes Possession (2000)
The Mark: The Beast Rules the World (2000)
Desecration: Antichrist Takes the Throne (2001)
The Remnant: On the Brink of Armageddon (2002)
Armageddon: The Cosmic Battle of the Ages (2003)
Glorious Appearing: The End of Days (2004)

by Tim LaHaye and Jerry B. Jenkins, dealing with Christian dispensationalist End Times: pretribulation, premillennial, Christian eschatological viewpoint of the end of the world.

Don't waste your time with the 3 pre-quels and the sequel!
The Rising: Antichrist is Born: Before They Were Left Behind (2005)
The Regime: Evil Advances: Before They Were Left Behind #2 (2005
The Rapture: In the Twinkling of an Eye: Countdown to Earth's Last Days #3(2006)
Kingdom Come: The Final Victory(2007)

Ted Dekker: His books are all action-packed, crazy stories that will blow your mind.
Recommend: Circle Trilogy (Black, Red, White), Blink (recently changed to In the Blink of an Eye or something)

Karen Hancock:
Great fantasy novels with action, suspense, and romance.
Recommend: All of her books. Arena and The Guardian King Series (All of these books I couldn't put down. I highly recommend these!)

Kathy Tyers: Fantasy novels set in realistic worlds. She seems to like space travel.
Recommend: The Firebird Series (these are my favorite sci-fi books)

Karen Kingsbury has a 14 book series that is in 3 parts
Part 1 called Redemption Series (5 books)
Part 2 called Firstborn Series (5 books)
Part 3 called Sunrise Series (4 books)

I am on the last book and SO SAD it is ending! All these books are in chronilogical order if you begin in the Redemption Series.
Loved the Left Behind series and agree with previous poster about the Prequel books being a waste of time. I started reading the first one and didn't finish nor do I plan to finish. Am currently thinking of reading the series over though.

Other books I liked were
This Present Darkness by Frank E. Peretti
Piercing the Darkness by Frank E. Peretti
