Reading about Ricky Nelson

Ricky Nelson was a teen idol in the 50's. He was on the Ozzie and Harriett show. He was also an acclaimed singer and musician, and very influential to music at the time. One of his musicians later joined with Elvis Presley.

Ricky had a comeback in the 1970's and a hit song called "Garden Party." He died a few years later.

Last night I dreamt that I was reading about Ricky's 1970's comeback. It said that he found a local band playing in a small club. He liked what he saw, thought they had potential for his own musical vision, and approached them about joining with him. His artistic vision joined his own style with the 70's style, creating a unique art. It said that he even asked them to change their hair and appearance, which gave me the impression that Ricky had style sense. It seems like he did.

I don't know how much of that stuff that I "read" in my dream was true, if any. I don't know what it means.

This is God answering your previous thread! You were concerned about being really different from your family...so that would imply you may be trying to please them...perhaps compelled to gain their approval by living up to their expectations and timing of events in your life, which will not necessarily be in step with God's. People are next to impossible to 'satisfy', yet simple obedience to God makes Him easy to please. His approval is way more valuable than even your family's.

He been maturing and changing you, so this makes your family uncomfortable. You don't fit anymore into their old mould of you, nor their seemingly present mould for you. However, tiz a wonderful Divine work to prevent you from getting 'moldy'! Makes your Christian witness brighter and more easily seen!

Your unique gifts, talents, and style are Godgiven and meant to be blessings. Your potential, God will certainly meld with others to make you and your group very influential all for the glory of Jesus! Clothe yourself with Christ and watch others follow your example! Your dream is to inspire you!

humblebee it always amazes me how well you have developed and grew the gift God has given you. you are truly gifted. seems many recieve the gift, few use it even fewer understand it, and even fewer understand and follow it. dont mean to swell your head up its just so exciting to see someone that uses their gift. Dreams always intrigued me, so am even more thankfullllllllllllllllllllll and amazed at how my Lord has answered my prayers through Christian Dream Interpretation Ministry! Wow. That's such an awesome dream & message Radhead I always loved that song myself.

Just wanted to encourage you man.

I am way different then my family. I've always felt that difference in one way or another.

I grew up in a more conservative denomination. Most of my family & my hubby's(he was Luthern) would flip if they knew the extent of how the Holy Spirit is moving in our lives...Um yeah we worship very differently

My hubby is currently teaching himself guitar, bcause he thinks the Lord wants him on a music worship team.

We may question & feel uncomfortable at times when we are different from our family( & it can be tough I understand that) but I can tell you from experience many of God's most awesome blessings come from walking with Him as He unfolds His brilliant plan for each of us that are so fearfully & wonderfully made. Be encouraged is what Im really tryin' to say
