I wrote this poem basically it was about my church. They are wanting the church to grow but they won't go and witness. Here it is . . .
"Idle Witness"
I'm free'd from my sin, I've begun a new life, -- Dead to the old and now risen with Christ,
A life that was pointless, a life with no gain, -- I've encountered the Lord, now I'm never the same,
My heart has been changed, I have new desires, -- I have to pay what I owe, for being saved from the fire,
Now what should I do? Should I spread the cheer? -- Speaking and teaching that Jesus is near?
Of course I'm not qualified, I dont have a degree -- and what can I say that could make them believe?
Could I say that Christ died on a cross for you sins? -- I could but I'm afraid that it would never make sense,
Could I say that your life will be better off? -- I could but I would have to mention the cost,
The message of Christ is really good news -- but I cant make them believe they will all have to choose,
But where should I start? In the church or the street? -- Should I be washing the pews, or washing mens feet?
I can't witness from church, I must go out in the street -- because where one has sown, another will reap,
You can talk the talk but can you do what you say? -- can you be an example that can show them the way?
If they will not listen to your words or your cause -- you must use the Law of God, to show them their flaws,
God has created you and He knows your worth -- your precious to Him, the most important thing on this Earth,
Once he's convicted in his heart as a sinner -- I will show Him through Christ, that he's always a winner,
But I cannot do anything while I'm still in the church -- as an idle believer your more like a curse,
But whatever I do I must always remember -- in the Body of Christ, I'm one of the members,
