It was a drifty life, the life of Bob. The booze strongly stung the honeysuckle goodness of certain moments beneath exquisitely clockwork beehives, An Experiment In Psychology.
Certain centers of the brain stimulated from AUM .
Heavens to Betsy!
Bob didn't understand either, some of these customers.
- brief excerpt from Eschillion Key, a novel by KB Updike Jr.
Warning: This is a mature read designed for the 16+ crowd, and should probably be avoided by those suffering from such intense mental disorders as acute paranoid schizophrenia and homicidal tendencies.
I think, at some point in humanity's history, the majority of the people living on the planet have a responsibility to be willing to face the dark side without being corrupted by it. At some point, you have to come face to face with the Devil to free yourself of that abomination.
The Catcher in the Rye by J. D. Salinger might have triggered homicidal tendencies in people already corrupted by their own shadows, or it might have been a favorite read of certain homicidal people because of their need to identify with negativity in other people and things. I admit that my book is a far more dangerous work of fiction than J. D. Salinger's masterpiece, because there is a far greater potential to attract negative psyches and to disturb already disturbed people.
The only real security I believe we will find comes in the form of personal responsibility and free thinking.
That said, this is not a horror novel. This is an allegory of the Holy Bible, often quite funny. The title means Heaven's Key.
I am interested in any constructive criticism, negative or positive, even if you don't read the whole thing.
