21 And Ahithophel said unto Absalom, Go in unto thy father's concubines, which he hath left to keep the house; and all Israel shall hear that thou art abhorred of thy father: then shall the hands of all that are with thee be strong.
22 So they spread Absalom a tent upon the top of the house; and Absalom went in unto his father's concubines in the sight of all Israel.
23 And the counsel of Ahithophel, which he counselled in those days, was as if a man had enquired at the oracle of God: so was all the counsel of Ahithophel both with David and with Absalom.
21 亚希多弗对押沙龙说，你父所留下看守宫殿的妃嫔，你可以与她们亲近。以色列众人听见你父亲憎恶你，凡归顺你人的手就更坚强。
22 于是人为押沙龙在宫殿的平顶上支搭帐棚。押沙龙在以色列众人眼前，与他父的妃嫔亲近。
23 那时亚希多弗所出的主意好像人问神的话一样。他昔日给大卫，今日给押沙龙所出的主意，都是这样。

23 And when Ahithophel saw that his counsel was not followed, he saddled his ass, and arose, and gat him home to his house, to his city, and put his household in order, and hanged himself, and died, and was buried in the sepulcher of his father.
23 亚希多弗见不依从他的计谋，就备上驴，归回本城。到了家，留下遗言，便吊死了，葬在他父亲的坟墓里。
The Legacy of Ahithophel:
亚希多弗的遗产:
This episode in David’s life is part of the judgement of Almighty God on David who sinned with Bathsheba and murdered her husband. When Nathan the Prophet confronted David regarding his sin, he used an illustration of a poor man who was robbed of his only lamb by a wealthy neighbor. David, issued a judgment saying that the wealthy man would have to repay the poor man with four of his own lambs. What David did not realize was that he was executing judgment against himself for his sin. Eventually, he would lose four of his sons (The first child of Bathsheba died at birth, Amnon was killed by Absalom for raping Tamar; Absalom, who attempts to take the kingdom from David is killed in battle, and eventually Adonijah would die at the hand of King Solomon.). Sin is expensive and deadly.
大卫生命中的这一事件，是全能神对大卫的审判，因为他与拔示巴犯了罪，并杀害了她的丈夫。当先知拿单责备大卫犯罪时，他用一个穷人被富人邻居抢走唯一的小羊的比喻。大卫下了一个判决，说富人要用自己的四只羊偿还穷人。大卫没有意识到他正在因自己的罪行而对自己执行审判。最终，他将失去四个儿子（拔示巴的第一个孩子在出生时夭折，阿多尼雅被所罗门王杀死，因为他企图夺取大卫的王位；押沙龙试图从大卫手中夺取王国，在战斗中被杀，最后阿多尼雅也将在所罗门王手中死去）。罪的代价是昂贵且致命的。
Proverbs 16:18 warns us that “Pride comes before destruction.” In these two passages we see this warning lived out in one of King David’s most trusted counselors, Ahithophel.
箴言 16:18 警告我们“骄傲在败坏以先”，在这两段经文中，我们看到这个警告在大卫最信任的顾问之一，亚希多弗身上得以实现。
In chapter 17, another advisor emerges to give counsel to Absalom…Hushai, a devoted advisor to King David. Absalom receives competing messages from Ahitophel and Hushai. He chooses to go with the word of Hushai. Ahithophel, unable to handle the rejection of his counsel goes to his home and commits suicide.
在第17章中，另一位顾问出现给押沙龙出主意……就是大卫王的忠实顾问户筛。押沙龙听了亚希多弗和户筛的相互对立的建议，他选择了户筛的建议。亚希多弗因为无法接受自己的建议被拒绝，就回到家后自杀了。
Regrettably, many of our churches have an “Ahithophel" in the congregation; someone who speaks so eloquently that you think they have heard from God. The instruction they give appears to be straight from the halls of heaven, causing people to hang on their every word. However, when their advice is not heeded, they become like Ahithophel; offended, bitter and broken, they leave the church, and in some cases never return.
遗憾的是，我们许多教会中也有“亚希多弗”。在教会里，有些人说话非常有口才，让人觉得他们已经听到了上帝的声音。他们给出的指导似乎直接来自天堂，让人倾听他们的每一句话。然而，当他们的建议不被接纳时，他们就变得像亚希多弗一样：受伤、痛苦和破碎，离开教会，在某些情况下甚至不再回来。
Here is the lesson: We need to realise that it is okay for others to reject our counsel and seek advice from others. To become offended is evidence of pride, one of the greatest sins one could commit. Understand that the church does not revolve around you. When you face rejection in the church, do not take it personally. It happens. Pray and move on. In doing so, you bring honor and glory to God.
这是一个教训：我们需要意识到别人可能会拒绝我们的建议，并向其他人寻求帮助。这应该是可以接受的。感到受伤是骄傲的表现，是一个人可以犯的最大的罪之一。要明白教会并不围绕着你转。当你在教会中面对拒绝时，不要把它放在心上。要明白这种情况很常见，我们需要祈祷并继续前行。通过这样做，你将荣耀上帝。

HIGHLY FAVOURED
备受眷顾
This is one of my favourite psalms and I just love how it ends. The psalmist proclaims his desire to dwell in the courts of his God (see verses 1 and 10).
这是我最喜欢的诗篇之一，我喜欢它的结尾。诗人宣告了他渴望居住在神的院（参见诗篇84:1和10节）。
As Christians, I wonder if we realise how blessed and highly favored we are. Our faith and trust are in God. So many Christians live as paupers, without knowing what they have in Christ.
作为基督徒，我想知道我们是否意识到自己是多么蒙福和备受眷顾。我们的信心和信赖都来自上帝。如此多的基督徒苦苦地过着日子，却不知道自己在基督里拥有什么。
Christian, you only have to look at the spiritual blessings you have in Christ listed in Ephesians chapter 1:3-14. Every spiritual blessing is given to you, because you have come to put your faith and trust in God. Not only do you have all these, but you have Fellowship with God through the sacrifice of His Son, and, you have the Holy Spirit living in your heart. You are blessed beyond measure. Why? Because your faith is in HIM.
基督徒啊，你只需要看看以弗所书1:3-14章列出的你在基督里所得的属灵福分。每一个属灵的福分都是赐给你的，因为你已经信靠上帝。不仅如此，你还通过祂儿子的献祭与上帝有了交通，还有圣灵住在你心里。你是蒙福无尽的。为什么？因为你的信心在祂里面。
May you be encouraged and filled with joy unspeakable and full of glory.
