What are your views on immigration? I guess my question is what is the moral view? It seems the Christ like thing to do would be to welcome those who mean no harm and seeking refuge from violent countries. My views have evolved to thinking this is the right thing to do.

You want to immigrate to my country? Fine but do it legally. It makes no sense to break the law coming in and then expect the people to think you're honest

Ezekiel 17:23 Speaks of this immigration at the time of Israel's (America) greatest wealth and power.

"In the mountain of the height of Israel will I plant it: and it shall bring forth boughs, and bear fruit, and be a goodly cedar: and under it shall dwell all fowl of every wing; in the shadow of the branches thereof shall they dwell."

However there is only so much room (and fruit) under our branches.

I have evolved on my thinking as I said previously. My head tells me people should do it by the book, but Jesus was a refugee, so it makes me think the Christian thing to do is accept those fleeing persecution. I just wondered what others think about this issue.

The laws were different when Jesus was a 'refugee' Jesus himself said we are to obey the laws of the land.

What are your views on immigration?
There is a huge difference between legitimate and legal immigration, and illegal MIGRANT INVASION, particularly Muslim migrant invasion, which is an adjunct of Jihad (holy war against the Western infidels).

The globalist elites of the Western world are promoting lawlessness and migrant invasion deliberately (which includes human trafficking), and men like George Soros are pouring millions (if not billions) into this to ensure that the Muslim caliphate is established in the West, and that Western values and Christianity are reduced to nothing.

A recent UN study has established that only a very small fraction of those who claimed to be "refugees" were refugees. Also, it has been established that huge numbers of those claiming to be "minors" were actually minors. And the use of false passports and identity papers has contributed to all this, while the Western governments have done little or nothing.

Re: Migrants

"Migrants" are not "refugees". Our nation has always welcomed "refugees". There are all kinds of Christian organizations that have always ministered to, and advocated for "refugees", and still do. I have advocated for and ministered to many "refugees" myself.

In addition, see post #7.

When my country is facing a labor shortage due to 100% employment, it might be time to consider allowing immigration.

Until that happens, the applicants need to be refused and returned to their countries of origin. If they're such amazing people, odds are they can make their countries great again.

I don't think open borders is wise.

The migrants I was thinking of was a mother with two children from Honduras fleeing her country because of the violence there. But am aware that some want to over run the country with bad motives, and we have to keep out the drug cartel and human traffickers. Definitely in favor of keeping them out.

I don't think open borders is wise.
To the contrary it is pure foolishness and recklessness. There is not a nation in the world that had open borders until the globalists put pressure on the Western world to promote their own agenda of worldwide anarchy.

But Mexico itself is a good example of tight immigration and citizenship control: "Illegal entry into the country is equivalent to a felony punishable by two years’ imprisonment."
How Mexico Treats Illegal Aliens | National Review

However, they have no problem allowing everyone to flow through the porous border of the USA since the US government has failed its citizens in this regard, and refused to fund the border wall for Trump in their ominibus bill.
