OK Guys

Keep in mind that this is the reformed area. Non Calvinists man have fellowship here , ask questions or make a brief comment on a post . But this is not a place to come to debate Reform doctrine.

That belongs on General Theology

Ok, I'm PCI, and want no unification with the RCs. I don't believe that was the intention here. He's only being invited to attend the opening night, not to debate doctrine or negotiate any form of union. What's wrong with showing him how things should be done? ;)

Is it seriously a Reform doctrine that Catholicism doesn't actually exist?

I do not believe he said it was doctrine . It was an observation , nothing more.

This however is a discussion on a reform church issue ,and the feelings of reformed believers on ecumenism, not a debate .

Thanks

I'm sorry if you thought I was debating, I wasn't. I was just asking a question because your post left me with the impression that the assertion that Catholicism doesn't exist is an actual Reform doctrine.

Here is the mistake that I see here. A Reformed poster posted something that offended our Catholic members. Now, why you are so worried about what we discuss and why you feel the need to police our forum for us is beyond me. What you did wrong was, you responded to it in an area that you are not supposed to debate or correct or teach in. What you should have done was report it, POST NOTHING and let us handle it. Instead you also broke the rules AND some of you specifically know better because you have been warned for the same thing in the past.

I am going to hold a tight rein on this forum to prevent the occasional outbursts of fighting. rnmom and I will answer reports and keep things within the rules. Being within the rules includes warning those who break them by posting where they should not.

Have a nice day.
