Rayne is the first-born son of Knyute and Ariel Jaaziel. He was born in the forest of Rossesila and has lived there ever since. His father Knyute was an elven blacksmith, but was killed 15 years ago over a specially ordered sword. The customer didn’t want to pay the cost for the elaborate item and ended up killing Knyute with the sword he had crafted. The murderer fled with the prized item. Rayne continues to pray that he will forgive his father’s killer. Rayne learned the weaponsmith trade from his father and finished his father’s finest work, the Isil Orona (or Mist Blade). His brother Saris officially took over the family trade after Knyute’s death. Rayne hunts and gathers food for his clan by day, and by night conditions his strength, mind, endurance, and continues to develop his sword fighting skills.
Rayne is highly educated in elven ways, his mother made sure of that. She also taught him many things from outside the forest. He even studied the map of the known world, and plans to one day to see the known world. Rayne is highly reputed in the forest of Rossesila and is even well liked by some high elves.
Rayne is also descended from a high elf and is of noble blood, however he doesn’t yet know it.
