isn't wrestling like a violent soap opera?

(before you all body slam me, I was an ULTIMATE WARRIOR fan when younger, but gave it up)

While all the wrestlers can do all the moves they portray, if they really did them, permanent damage would result and there would be no heros to cheer for.

When I gave it up, Ed McMan was getting in the ring to
wrestle, thats when the Soap got to unbelievable.
(hitting people on the head with a 2x4 s reasonable? "hacksaw Jim Dugan", for those that didn't know who did that.))

but an announcer living through a match against someone 200lbs more then him?

We did tag team matches in fireteam rooms, in the Air force. Had to remove the boots, supervisor noticed the scuf marks.

Although I watch every Monday, wrestling hasn't been the same to me since the late 80's when I first started watching. Guys like Hogan, Savage, and The Million Dollar Man were the top guys - and at the top of their game.

Guys like Hogan need to hang up the towel these days. Ric Flair, too - the dude is just a staggering pile of old man flab.
