  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

This is straightforward. To be honest with yourself you must annualized the situation before the act. Like? If I have sex with her and she gets pregnant. Do I care one way or the other about her or the conception. Or are you free to go about your marry little way? Oh... Your rights sound so, good and honorable.Don't tell me that people haven't thought about it before. You look at what you want with a calculated risk in hope that you can get away with or fix the variable that does go your way.

Didn't I just get finished saying that one is expected to take responsible precautions regarding things like contraception, and respect one's sexual partner? Are you reading what I type, or am I talking to myself? This isn't about "what you can get away with." It's about participating in and maintaining a social structure wherein you will be treated well, by treating others well. That is how everyone's rights are protected.

HOPELESSNESS Comes from not being able to change the direction of ones life decisions. Just as one can't teach a baby what is hot they must experience the pain themselves, but out of Jesus's love there not alone. May as Christian we can stand in suffering with them not out of change ,but in love.....Hopelessness, but I still love ya all. May God Bless ya all.

Abortion and gay marriage to only state a few. People will rationalize there agendas stating its there right ,but by who's authority do they get there rights from and to what purpose should they be governed if everyone's right are to be given. Has America has lost its integrity ,honor and morality to whom in which given them this country. To whom Liberty and free will was constituted in our constitution. Modeled after in disbelief or not for the good of the people. To See that the bible brought comradery's common ground for liberty of the people.
You seem to praise liberty and free will. An interesting position seeing as you're for banning gay marriage and abortion.

My "feelings" are often what governs me, my "inner voice". I may get very angry with someone, say something very cruel, and then think, "that was justified. They deserved it!" but then there will be a small voice, a voice of guilt, a voice that says, "that was really mean, and you know it."

I believe that "feeling", that inner voice, is the Spirit of God, the think that we call conscience that bothers us when we do things that are wrong. And we feel that. It's not cerebral. We feel it to the core of our being. The more we listen to it, the stronger it is, and the better it guides. The less we listen, the quieter it gets, until we may only barely hear it, and easily drown it out.

That is there to help us.

Balancing free will and liberty is to hard for humans with there rights. Like we can balance grace, mercy and justice.Ya all get confused when it comes to your rights and justice.Good and evil is looked upon spiritually not carnally and some of us. Just don't get it or Plainly don't care. The only thing left to say is, I hope you have taken God in account and weighed out the consequences.

What is with that common assumption not only that the people with whom one disagrees are mistaken, but also that they are malicious?

It's a symptom of believing that God is on your side of an argument.

I would say that it is a symptom of appointing yourself God, and worshiping yourself, your ideas, your ego, your beliefs, your judgements, the number of times "I'm right, and you're wrong."

It's idol worship.
