my son has a rash on his face and upper body, i dont know what its from or what to put on it....it looks awful

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Can you attach a picture? Does he have a fever or is he in pain? I use www.webmd.com to diagnose alot of my kids problems.

Yeah I was going to ask for a picture too. I would get an appointment and take him in though. Its hard to say if its something simple like dry skin(need face washed less often or baby lotion) or oily skin(needs face washed more often)or something more complicated.
If it is everywhere, it could also be an allergy to laundry detergent or Bounce. Or around face, it could be an allgery to a new food.... but he's not doing solids yet I don't think....

I was thinking along the same line as Leanna...on the face & upper body, I immediately thought of laundry detergent or softener.

Christian went through a time where she broke out into a huge body rash. I will attach some pictures I took of it, when it was starting to look better, though it still looked horrible. She got the rash when she was about a month old. Now we have to be careful of what we use on her, like we can't use any Johnson & Johnson products on her as she reacts like this, and we can't use fabric softner on any of our clothes, not even the unscented stuff. There is something in the fabric softner that she is allergic to.
