  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I have been saved since 12 and i must admit that I have only dated 2 christian men. Not that I date much, but only 2. I want to know what it feels like to date a true christian man who will refrain from having sex before marriage.

If you are and have been in a smiliar situation, what does it feel like to date a christian man/woman??

I think dating Christians only will keep me yoked with other Christians. Otherwise, if will link me with the unyoked. Though I do pray for their salvations though.

I was seeing a Christian once and I felt so Blessed by our chats and how I could talk about God and my experiences so Openly.. well it never went past a few dates..:(

I was married to a Christian once too( when I was 18) and we never talked about God once how sad eh..

I pray God brings a Christian man into my life one day when he feels I am ready..:prayer:

I love the chats, and how I learn so much from other Christians:amen:

Good Luck to you Sistah!:)

I have dated a couple of Christians. My first boyfriend was a Christian and during our relationship he would get himself into situations of temptation with other girls our relationship ended because of his flirting and lust for other people. Now I hear he is smoking, drinking, and partying. My more recent one ended because he went behind my back and started drinking and smoking weed. I think I was quick to trust him because I felt he was such a dedicated Christian and he was helping me become a better Christian as well. It's a tough ordeal to go through but it only makes you stronger and wiser. Not all Christian guys are like this, but just be cautious. Hopefully I can find one suitable to date.

I won't date anyone who isn't Christian, you get romantically involved and then end up getting hurt, for various reasons.

It is also important to date a Christian who is on the same page with their beliefs as you are. I know a lot of Christians who have conflicting opinions with me.

You know, I had to think when I read this question, because I think I've probably only dated 2 men in MY LIFE that were active Christians - I say active meaning men who were living celibate until marrige, regularly going to church, regularly reading the word, etc. To be honest, I use to wonder why it was hard to find a nice Christian guy to date - until I came to CF (and it wasn't a good revelation).

There is good and bad in everyone. And I guess in a world of make-believe and fairy dust, all believers would have no pre-concieved notions, prejudices, misconceptions, or unrealistic expectations (outside of what the Word says for us to look for in other people/believers) for those of the opposite sex. Ironicly, in heaven this will be gone - but so will the desire to find a mate ouitside of Christ. lol

But just keep in mind that we're all human and sometimes screw up - sometimes more than others. Maybe its just that when we meet them - it just happens to be in that screw-up phase. ^_^

Another thing that isn't being discussed here is that while we hold that standard for a true/great/perfect Christian man/woman for others, do we hold that standard up for ourselves? It is easy to say what you want/desire in another person, it is also easy to neglect examining oneself and asking if these same qualities can be said of you.
