Let me preface by saying I am an athiest, and do not believe in God. Reading your post reminds me of a quote from John F. Kennedy's inagraul address, and I think it applies here. It went:
"God's work on earth must truely be our own."
Keep in mind, just because he doesn't believe in God doesn't mean he isn't a part of the world God, as Christians believe, created. Believer or non believer, God loves us, all according to the bible.
