Let me preface by saying I am an athiest, and do not believe in God. Reading your post reminds me of a quote from John F. Kennedy's inagraul address, and I think it applies here. It went:
"God's work on earth must truely be our own."
Keep in mind, just because he doesn't believe in God doesn't mean he isn't a part of the world God, as Christians believe, created. Believer or non believer, God loves us, all according to the bible.

God said He gives blessings and difficulties to the just and the unjust. And maybe all those things that the guy has, God does not want for you. Maybe He has a bigger plan for you to spread His gospel.
