I don't blame you!!! I HATE spiders. I would have hid as well! I had a wolf spider crawl up my arm once and I screamed, cried, and danced around until I managed to get it off. It was hilarious after the fact but terrifying until I found it and killed it.

This is what crawled up my arm....they are huge.

Giggling, because it's far too much like the majority of people I know and their attempts at "speaking" Spanish. Just English, spoken very loudly, ending in "o", usually in a slightly offensive accent .

Behind glass, maybe. On my arm or out and about? No. I don't think I could even manage to touch it and I certainly wouldn't eat it but bravo to anyone else who can.

Not only am I from the South, but my heritage is "hillbilly". That means I will most likely eat anything that doesnt eat me first. To quote Mel Gibson's character from "The Patriot", "Hmmm Dog makes a fine meal".

I think there must be different levels of Hillbilly. Dog, guinea pig, cat, camel, emu? I'd eat it before I eat a spider but feel free to eat all the spiders you want. I would even pass you the plate.

It could even be mutually beneficial, they eat the bugs before they make it inside....and I don't kill them... but NOOOOO they don't listen to me....... so they must die.
