CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I killed a young timber rattlesnake in the garage of a lady for whom I was doing some gardening today. I'm mildly freaked out about it. Those things shouldn't be in suburban Pennsylvania. What are they thinking.

How do you feel having the FIFA World cup in your country?!?!
A little excited and nervous at the same time. I am going to one of the games but I don't think we we're ready for the WC, I kinda think the money that was spent on the stadiums (that we aren't really going to use after the WC : ( ) should rather have been used for the upliftment of poor people in my country.
But I'm hoping it all works out (our church has been praying about it.), it could be good for tourism? But the economic downturn couldn't have come at a worse time. Still though I do quite like soccer and will be hoping and praying for the best WC?

I just told one of my sons to go to bed.. it is after midnight here.. and he made me a cup of hot tea.. LOL.. I guess because we do not have to get up early Saturday.. he can stay up now.. LOL

I was in the mall the other day and this group of about 8 security guards beat the heck out of this poor thief, it was kinda shocking but he wasn't bloody maybe just bruised. People were scrambling to get out of their way it was pandemonium.

Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson goes on a camping trip. After a good dinner and a bottle of wine, they retire for the night, and go to sleep. Some hours later, Holmes wakes up and nudges his faithful friend.
"Watson, look up at the sky and tell me what you see."
"I see millions and millions of stars, Holmes," replies Watson.
"And what do you deduce from that?"
Watson ponders for a minute.
"Well, astronomically, it tells me that there are millions of galaxies and potentially billions of planets. Astrologically, I observe that Saturn is in Leo. Horologically, I deduce that the time is approximately a quarter past three.
"Meteorologically, I suspect that we will have a beautiful day tomorrow. Theologically, I can see that God is all powerful and that we are a small and insignificant part of the universe. What does it tell you, Holmes?"
Holmes is silent for a moment. "Watson, you idiot!" he says. "Someone has stolen our tent!"
