CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Ashamed to say it, but when I was a kid, I used to scream for the heck of it AND when I was having fun. After a while, all the neighbors just told me to shut up instead of wondering what was going on.

LOL. That's hysterical! ...Kind of sounds me and my siblings. We had this old lady neighbor who was very nice but was all in your business at the same time - her name was Mrs. Dragon (true story) - and would always holler at us and dictate how we should play, ect.

Daha, yes! Only in my case, it was wherever I was, someone's head would pop out of a window or door and yell at us (my girlfriend at the time did it too). Up around the corner was an old Russian lady with a huge wolfhound...she'd threaten to release the dog on us. Down the street was a sweet old woman who would come out occasionally and yell about how we played. Then around the block was one of my friend's mom...she'd try and grab us and severely scold us in private.

She said it was an amazing moment. It surfaced around 5 feet from the boat. And that was a tiny wooden boat.
M and I were swimming when one breached but was pretty far away. I can't imagine being that close to one.
