  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Ahhhh right.

Well, glad people seem to have fun with it :)

I enjoy it :) and the previous game in the series was game of the year :D

I prefer campaign games ahead of shooters though!

I'm waiting on getting the new Assassin's Creed game, it's about a family of Assassin's that travel through DNA memories... weird, I know, but they include a lot of religious and esoteric fact and fiction into it as well :D

lol Well aren't you lil' Miss popular now Ashlee :p haha jk. I'm glad to hear that you're appreciating life more! :)

I haven't been able to play my games too often either, but, that's alright; they're a nice escape and what-not, but I'd much rather have a nice conversation and spend time with people I enjoy, to be completely honest.

I don't know if this is a good thing lol but, my heart actually skipped a beat when I saw the new game in stock (Assassin's Creed Revelations)... I shouldn't hold the game in such high regard really, wouldn't want to make an idol of it (and I don't); but, I definitely have invested interest in it.

Haven't played either of the Uncharted... though, it's got nothing but great reviews. I've been playin' Dragon Age, Mass Effect, Assassin's Creed, and some shooters a bit more than branching out of those genres. Oh, and some of the classics like 'Link to a Past' and 'Ocarina of Time'

I stick mostly to games like Assassin's Creed, Uncharted, God of War, Dante's Inferno, etc. I also have Fallout 3 (which I haven't played much of. The beginning was very boring. I'll have to try it again sometime), and Borderlands is VERY fun (and very addicting!).

I'm not real big into shooters or RPGs, although I'm super super curious about Skyrim. I haven't played any of the other previous games in that series, but I've heard that doesn't matter too much.

You won't be disappointed, that's for sure! It's really been revamped for a wider audience to enjoy it, and not have to be too strategic about building your character; though, they still have those functions, but not to the same extent.

In the previous installment, you had to build your character by using their major skills and if you used them the most you would get up to a +5 to those skills when you leveled up (if you decided to choose to upgrade those skills at all); this installment you simply gain the experience points in each category when you use the skills (kind of like the Fable series, when you used magic you'd gain magic points and so on and so forth).

Yeah, I've heard it's a lot like Fable, which sounds promising. (even though I've only played maybe 20 minutes of that game. It wasn't terrible though.)

I like games that give me avenues to explore. I'm not strictly adhered to one set goal to accomplish. And even if I am, I like to have options along the way (like puzzles and mini-games, hidden things to find, etc.) It engages the mind and adds challenge to what could be a rather quick, dry game.

Plus, since I can't go out and fight actual dragons in real life, I'm stuck to books and video games. Hahaha

Yeah, I don't know who told you it was 'a lot' like Fable; but that's completely wrong. It's in-fact, just like you're saying.. the map is HUGE and you have the option of staying with the storyline or wandering the map through dungeons, keeps, and a plethora of side quests; like I said, it's a game that would seriously take you months and months to actually finish; and that's only if you did everything with just one character, I know people who are planning to play the entire game out with several different characters.
