  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

This is a story about four people named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody, and Nobody.

There was an important job to be done and Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it.

Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did.

Everybody thought Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn't do it.

It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done!

Here's a little ditty I made a while ago. I can't believe I'm gonna post it here...but it made me smile (which is quite fascinating...most of my works I'm never satisfied with!), so I wanted to share...and maybe I'll even get someone else smiling. ^_^

~~~~~
I'll tell you a fantastic tale,
Of my wonderful walk in the woods,
Where I met a lady, so delicately frail,
Who would give away her best knit goods.
She was a sweet little creature...
She'd just sit there, knitting and knitting;
I thought that was her best (and only) feature,
But 'twas something else, that set my side splitting.
Every time she opened her lips,
I thought I heard a mouse,
But no, indeed, 'twas Miss Pips;
She be the only one in the house
Her musically high pitch squeal,
Would send me into giggly fits,
Making me teeter, totter, and reel,
And ultimately made me lose my wits.
She'd tell of her old days past,
In her delicate and ladylike way,
But always seemed to be aghast,
When I'd laugh at whatever she'd say.
At last, I finally told her why,
Whenever she spoke to me,
That I'd just keel over and pretty much die;
"'Twas because of your cute little squee!"
At this declaration, she became quite upset,
And forgot she was a lady;
She sat there in such a dreadful fret,
And burst forth like old man O'Grady,
"Now lookee here, wee wittle wass,
I can't help how I speak...
Young folk these days can be so cwass;
Makin' fun o' me and my squeak!"
But what I said next made the old lady smile,
For it was quite honestly true...
That "Whenever I felt dreadfully vile,
Miss Pips squeaks would calm me hitherto."
She grumbled and mumbled,
And nodded with satisfaction...
Seeing I was quite humbled,
And grinned at my subdued reaction.
She told me I may laugh quite free,
At whatever she would say,
She smiled sweetly as could be,
Knowing she blew grey clouds away.
So the frail, little lady Miss Pips and I
Got along after that very well
She would knit and quite often sigh
But I thought she was super swell.
