  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I wrote this a while back, just thought I'd share

I was praying tonight and God presented to me a cool thought about who He's made us to be. So I thought I'd share with my friends. The image that cameto mind was that of people being a picture frame. As a picture frame we can hold the image of almost anything. Cars, yachts, houses, wives/husbands,
children, families, dogs, nature, anything that exists on this earth. But God's purpose for me is to be a frame to hold the image of Jesus Christ.
Now as frames we come in all shapes and sizes. They can be the finest hand crafted wood made hundreds of years ago with the most minute detail. Or
they can be a plastic frame bought from walmart. But God has searched the world over in order to find suitable frames for His Son. Some of them He
purchased from the most upscale shops in the great cities of the world. And some of them He pulled from the garbage on the curb. All of them have dirt
and grime and dings from the world. But He's constantly cleaning them and polishing them so that He can use them for a greater purpose than the world
has used them. And the important thing about a picture frame is that, though people will examine a picture frame and may take notice of the
imperfections, the focus will always be on the picture the frame holds. People walk away and forget the frame, but they'll never forget the picture
that it contained. So my purpose is to hold the image of Christ. When people look at me they'll see that I was a busted up plastic frame pulled
from the trash, but by the Lord's work they will hopefully walk away remembering the image of Christ that I displayed. I've got a very long way
to go on that. Here's a challenge, what picture does your frame hold?

Random thoughts from a Saturday night with nothing better to do, but I thought that was kinda cool and wanted to share with my friends. To give
credit where credit is due, this certainly didn't come from me. Give all Glory to God
