The truth about James 1, teachers, and the last days. In these last days people heap teachers to themselves, not knowing they need no teacher, but only the Word. This is what James is actually saying to us in this scripture below. We have the anointing, and need no man to teach us. They will not teach us, but instead deceive us, in these last days, its been foretold. Blessed are those who "hear".


James 1:4 But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. 5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.

16 Do not be deceived, my beloved brethren. 17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning. 18 Of His own will He brought us forth by the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of His creatures.

19 So then,[a] my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath; 20 for the wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God.

Matthew 13:16 But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear.

This parable speaks about those in Israel who rejected Christ, and so he went to the Gentiles instead. At least that's the way i understand it. However, this can speak about those in the Church as well. They follow politicians instead of putting faith in Christ alone, and they seek an earthly nation rather than the kingdom of Christ alone which is not an earthly nation.

This is exactly what Israel did as well when they rejected Christ. They didn't want a spiritual kingdom but instead an earthly one. They wanted a king that would fight and overthrow the Roman Empire who occupied their land, but that's not what happened. The Lord said blessed are the meek for they shall inherit the earth, but hes referring to the land, or the spiritual kingdom of heaven, and not an earthly nation. WE should not follow politicians or teachers who would lead us to follow them, because they will only lead us astray. Its my opinion that Babylon in revelation is the whole earth, and that politics and mans wisdom are the image of the beast which men worship.

I dont just base this opinion on Revelation, but also on all the commands of Christ and His apostles. Those commands lead me away from politics which are strife, contention, covetousness, division, faithlessness, godlessness, an d these are works of flesh but not of the spirit and not of the kingdom of Christ. These political leaders on all sides are worldly men who will lead us astray, and they are not unlike the teachers who men will heap to themselves in the last days. The bible teaches us to let our conduct be without covetousness, because the Lord alone is our helper. Woe unto those who go down to Egypt for help, and rest in the shadow of Egypt.(Isaiah 30) This saying refers to following worldly leaders instead of Christ and His kingdom.



Revelation 19:9 Then he said to me, “Write: ‘Blessed are those who are called to the marriage supper of the Lamb!’” And he said to me, “These are the true sayings of God.” 10 And I fell at his feet to worship him. But he said to me, “See that you do not do that! I am your fellow servant, and of your brethren who have the testimony of Jesus. Worship God! For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.”

False teachers. By their fruits you will know them.


I see what appears to be a misconception about proving truth and knowing what doctrine is false. People seem to say that we prove truth by observing who is gentle and who is not, but that's not true at all, and we must be aware Satan transforms himself into an angle of light, in that very way. He tells lies in a kind and gentle manner, and he deceives people who don't know better. Satan knows that smooth words and flattery are the way of deception.

I have thought about this a lot, and if we see what Paul says about Satan's workers transforming themselves into an apostle of light, (2 Corinthians chapters 10-11) we will see that Paul rebukes people who were boasting about their ability to turn the other cheek, and to patiently bear reproach, but they were also using that illusion of love to twist the truth about Paul and the true apostles, so it wasn't turning the other cheek that these fake apostles were doing, and it wasn't gentleness either that these fakers were practicing, but instead it was deception, and only pretense, or outward show mixed with smooth words and flattery.. Paul himself wasn't being kind and gentle with his rebuke of them either, and in that scripture Paul was calling them fools. He says that those who compare themselves with others and commend themselves are not wise. (2 Co 10:12) Paul says let God be true and every man a liar. Likewise Jesus wasn't kind and gentle when he whipped the money changers out of temple either.

Paul does teach that if a brother is taken over in a fault, that those who are spiritual should restore that person with gentleness, and so they should not be provoked or "tested" but instead gently restored in love, without pretense and hypocrisy. We don't test each other or anyone either. We are instead instructed to put no stumbling block in anyone's way, and not to provoke people. Putting stumbling blocks in others way, and provoking them with deceptive pretense is not how we prove truth. We instead compare scripture with scripture, and that's how we prove truth.

There is a distinction made here between brethren who are overtaken in a fault who need restored gently, and people who twist the truth who need rebuked harshly. Preachers are not always kind and gentle, so looking for kindness and gentleness alone is not a wise way for proving anything. In both the words of Christ and Paul we see that they preached to the brethren with gentleness and lowliness of mind, but the false teachers and money changers got rebuked harshly. These fakers transform themselves into false apostles if you will, by acting kind and gentle while they twist the truth and set traps for people to walk in as well. They compare themselves among themselves, and commend themselves as well, which is unwise.

Christ gave us only one thing to look for when being aware of a false teacher, and that was thorns. Thorns are represented in the parable of the sower as the cares of this life and deceitfulness of wealth. So in my opinion hes saying to beware of teachers who teach politics and prosperity doctrine. While its true that a teacher should be kind and gentle, its not true that he must be that way with those who practice deception, because neither Paul or Christ were always gentle. They made a distinction.

Look at what Jude says in his Epistle, he says to make such a distinction, he says some save with fear while others showing compassion. These sowers of mischief, these workers of deception, they are not being gentle themselves anyway but they are purposely trying to get people to stumble, and that's not restoring someone in gentleness as Paul teaches. That's not fruit of the spirit but is instead unwise, unsound in doctrine, and is itself false doctrine

I been through it all i guess. To hell and back again, so to speak. Struggled with so many difficult things, such as terrible battles of the mind, depression, anxiety, fear, and horrible inner oppression that i thought would surely kill me. However, this is not to be seen as bad, but praiseworthy, because the Lord is glorified in it all. He said he would never leave or forsake us. Its about faith, love, hope, and worship from the heart.

Psalm 25:6 Remember, O Lord, Your tender mercies and Your loving kindnesses,
For they are from of old.
7 Do not remember the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions;
According to Your mercy remember me,
For Your goodness’ sake, O Lord.

Im thinking that as well. THe psalms are healing and ministering to our hearts and minds in a very personal and spiritual way. Of course all scripture does, but the Psalms seem very special for us in times of need.

It seems that way to me too....it was David, who shared sooo openly his own struggles, that got my attention.....i noticed his love for God deep in his heart, and it gripped my own, and it was like he was speaking for me when he poured it all out to God....i think that's where i learned what prayer truly means....

David sure seems to show the heart of a saint, and i think His words, although sometime difficult to understanding in a Christian world, have some very symbolic meaning that transcends the natural world. The more i get my head wrapped around the word, the more spiritual rather than carnal everything seems to become.

Why David had my ear is because he was "real"...whatever he was thinkin', was right out there....he even asked God to search his heart, remember, for anything "hidden".....

Exactly. He asked God to search his heart and reveal hidden things, and David also asked God to show him wonderful things from His law. He wasn't looking to just obey a bunch of commands, but was looking to know God better, and himself better too.
